Going Ons and Tributes

We have been on the road A LOT the past couple of weekends and were able to spend time with friends and family we don't get to see that often. On Mothers' Day weekend, we spent time with our friends from Wisconsin, Beverly and Rob Flintrop down at Emerald Isle. My parents were there as well and we had a great time.

Last weekend, we were on the road to Murrells Inlet, SC to celebrate cousin Margaret's 5th birthday. It was a bowling party, so Seth got to bowl for the first time. Here are a couple of photos of him in action.

On the way home, we stopped at the entrance to Jacque and Brian's subdivision (they live at the back of a golf course) and paid tribute to Jonah and Stellan.

Our final stop on our trip was at the U.S.S. North Carolina in Wilmington, where we paid tribute once more to Jonah and Stellan. We continue to think of and pray for you both!

Speaking of prayers, we do have a few requests. Please continue to pray for our friends, Matt and Patrice Williams and their son, Jonah. With the heat and humidity creating new blisters on Jonah each day, it is very tough on Matt and Patrice. Please pray for Jonah's healing and their strength. Our friend Tammy will find out more about her condition on Thursday when she hears the results from her kidney biopsy. Please ask God to give her strength to handle whatever may come her way. Finally, our friends Nathan and Katie are expecting baby #2 this Friday. Please pray that the delivery goes well for them.

Prayers Please!

One of my best friends, Tammy, is having a kidney biopsy on Friday to determine answers about some health problems. I would like to request prayers on her behalf. Please ask the Lord to give her peace and strength whatever the outcome may be. Please pray for her family to be strong for her. Thank you!

My Child Is Listening To Me! :-)

We grabbed some pizza tonight since I had small group at church--we ate in the restaurant and Rob and I both got salads. We always try to pick up extra croutons and cheese for Seth to munch while we are waiting for our pizza. I returned with my salad and here is how the conversation went:

Me: Here are some croutons.

Seth: I don't want any croutons.

Me: Okay, how about some potato sticks (I proceed to sprinkle them onto the table.)

Seth: No, no don't put them on the dirty table!

I proceeded to put them on a napkin.
