I Heart Faces at the Beach

Okay, I have to give credit where credit is due. I am taking a page out of my friend Lauren's notebook this week. She is a photographer who has highlighted this photo contest on her blog in recent weeks. I really enjoy going and looking at the different photos that pertain to the theme of that week. When I saw that this week was a beach theme, I had to include the following photo:

I am not a photographer, but I capture a few lucky shots every now and then. This is a picture of my son Seth enjoying riding the waves at Emerald Isle, NC. This is the first year he has been able to really enjoy the boogie board. This photo was taken during our family's annual beach trip this past June. Be sure to enjoy the other beach photos at i heart faces.

Please Pray for Stellan!

See this precious baby boy?

*Borrowed from www.mycharmingkids.net

He is in desperate need of your prayers right now. The last update we have is that he is being airlifted to Boston. He suffers from SVT, which is also known as a very rapid heartbeat. For updates, please visit his mother's blog here. You can also join his Facebook prayer group here . Stellan is a miracle in himself, and he is a true example of what faith can do. Please pray for him!

Wedding Weekend

My youngest first cousin gets married this weekend. In his honor, I have posted this video. It was on the Today Show this morning and I guess it is becoming the new trend. The last one of these I remember seeing is the newly married couple beginning their first dance at their reception when all of a sudden you hear a violent record scratching and they break into a choreographed "Baby Got Back" routine. It takes some guts to do something like that--I don't think I could have done it. Congratulations and best wishes to Jeffrey and Erin!

Roberson Family Beach Trip 2009

We recently enjoyed our annual beach trip with the Roberson family. This is the 24th year that my dad's family has visited the beach. I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful tradition and hope that it continues for many years--it is actually one of two times a year that we get to see some of our cousins!

Seth became quite the body boarder and had so much fun coming in on the waves!

Cousins playing in the sand with Aunt Lesley fishing in the background.

Papa Gene enjoys his beach walks and shell collecting.
